Text design for a book on the history of the printed book told through 18 lives by Adam Smyth.
Given the subject matter, the project required a keen eye for detail and called for a refined, classic design. To achieve this, I used Baskerville typeface to create a template supporting a range of features including chapter titles, subtitles, epigraphs, image captions and footnotes, all using subtle variations in size and indentation to maintain an elegant look and feel.
