Text design for a book on digital self-care and allyship by prominent activist for online equality Seyi Akiwowo.
As a book addressing issues around the internet, the publisher wanted to use a sans serif typeface. I researched and tested various fonts, settling on Gill Sans as the best choice for continuous reading but with a ‘digital’ look and feel.
I then created a bespoke template, with hierarchy of information as a central consideration due to the wealth of content included in the toolkit.
I also designed a series of full-page quotes in the style of instagram stories, adding a further link to digital spaces.
