TEXT DESIGN
Text design for an historical biography by Michael Palin on the life and death of his great uncle.
The brief requested a bespoke design with a traditional look and feel, which I achieved by using the classic Dante typeface. I also incorporated a simple flourish on chapter openers along with drop cap to give an elegant but more decorative appearance. A key task involved tweaking the type size, leading and margins to achieve the desired page extent of 336 from a 70,000 word manuscript.
